GOING UPCOUNTRY

Matatus for long distance travel have their termini located separately and mostly away from the city center.  Upcountry termini in Nairobi are usually very popular during the festive season unlike other seasons whereby one would not even notice but all the same it doesn’t mean that people don’t travel during other seasons as they go to different destinations.

EASY COACH STAGE

·         This stage is found along Haile Selassie Avenue near railways.

·         The buses are used mostly by people traveling to Nyanza, Western, Rift Valley, Coast

MACHAKOS COUNTRY BUS TERMINUS

·          Machakos country bus is found along Landhies road, it’s just opposite Muthurwa bus terminus

·      Machakos country bus is used for people who are traveling to various parts of the country.  These include mostly the Eastern, Western and Northern parts of the country.

NYAMAKIMA BUS TERMINUS

·   Nyamakima bus terminus is located off River Road along Kirinyaga Road.  

     It is used for people who are traveling to various parts of the country.  These include  mostly the Nakuru, Naivasha, Namanga, Eldoret, Kajiado, Narok e.t.c.

TRANSLINE BUS STAGE

·         Transline stage is located next to Afya Center at the petrol station.

·         Transline buses are used by people traveling Nyanza

TEA ROOM/ACCRA ROAD MATATU STAGE

·  This bus terminus is located along Accra Road, off Tom Mboya Street.

  Tea room terminus is used for those people who are traveling to the Central and partly Eastern parts of the country.
