PASSENGER BEWARE

Not everyone who gets into a matatu is a genuine passenger because some people have bad intentions.  When boarding a matatu always beware of such people.  In matatus, more especially buses, there are these criminals who pretend to be passengers but their real intention is to drug genuine passengers and rob them off their belongings.

These criminals will sit next to you and at times pretend as if they are trying to put on or remove a sweater and intentionally pass their hands near your nose so that you may inhale the substance.  Without realizing it you get unconscious and they rob you and alight from the matatu, by the time you get back to your senses, you have nothing and you are left stranded in unfamiliar place with no idea of how to get to your intended destination.

Some of these people carry some paper bags and sit next to the person they intend to rob and once their time to execute their plan reaches they pretend to be removing something from the paper bags while trying to block your face with their arms not knowing that those arms are the ones with the drug.

What some of these people do is that, they wait for those people who more especially are buying phone covers from particular stalls along the streets. As you are negotiating for the cover the seller will tell you to show them your phone so that they can give you the cover, as the process is going on someone will pass near you and leave some powder like substance on your face then the seller tells you to wipe the powder not knowing that you are inhaling as you wipe it.

Beware of all these crimes and arrive safe.
