PLAN D

What would you do if you tried to earn a living the right way and every time you try, your plan fails? When, each time you hear a knock on the door it scares you because you know you have not paid rent? When you know you have nothing in the house for you to eat?  When you have borrowed until everyone is tired of seeing you and they have even nick named you?

Yeah, this could be why some young people end up in Plan D.  Life’s challenges come with so much stress and worry and not everyone has enough patience to go through all these without diverting to other bad routes.  Going through challenges will either leave you angry, strong or in self pity.   People handle stress differently, for those who are left angry they go on releasing their anger on every one with no conscious at all.  They usually start with just petty crimes and in the long run end up being hardcore criminals.  And this is how crime in Nairobi/kenya continue increasing.

It is true that life in the city is not easy; frustration after another and at the back of your mind you know you have bills to settle and a family to take care of.  But the test of it all is whether you can be able to hold on to your conscious so that you don’t loose it.  Crime in Nairobi is rampart as different people don’t know what to do to cater for their expenses.  If one day you become a victim to these criminals, you are left to wonder whether there is any conscious left in them anymore.

While in Nairobi, you are likely to encounter all sorts of criminal acts, you always have to be alert as you visit the most dangerous areas in Nairobi.  The criminals will target people at different areas including; matatu termini, in matatus, en route to their intended destinations, on the streets and even in their homes and places of work.

I know to some criminals, plan D is the easiest way out because all you need is just a few minutes or seconds and the next thing is that you got cash in your pocket.  But then again it doesn’t mean that all those who engage in criminal acts have tried different ways of surviving and failed, some of them just want the easiest way out.   Therefore not every criminal has hustled enough to end up remaining with only one option; some of them come from well off families but still choose plan D.

Come to think of it, yes you have solved your financial problems, but does it give you peace at all, and this brings me back to the point that crime is not the solution.  As much as some people would think it is the easiest way out, plan D is costly and denies you all the peace you need. You always have to watch your back or you never know if the criminal act you intend to engage in is where you could be taking your last breath. Think about it.
