TRAFFIC IN NAIROBI

I know it is quite a nightmare to most city residents; most of them wake up very early to avoid the monster and not forgetting school children being woken up in weird hours of the morning which is not good for them.  However, different scholars have come up with different ways on how to get rid of the  monster but it seems it is going to take quite a long time before that is done.
Each one of us has a different way of doing things therefore the city residents have come up with different ways on how to deal with this but for sure it is quite a hustle.

For a very long time Nairobi has been characterized with huge traffic jam that takes quite sometime to clear up.  Traffic in Nairobi is usually heavy in the morning hours when people are going to work and in the evenings when people are retiring from work.

The expansion of Thika Super highway was a way to decongest the city but it seems that most people have now moved to stay along thika road or some matatus from near roads prefer using it and therefore it is starting to congest again.  I hope the government will continue to expand other roads so as to diversify the issue.

The transport system in Kenya is quite a challenge, traffic jam in the city has been a nightmare for quite some time and someone who works a few kilometers from the city center wouldn’t dare think of rushing to town even over lunch hour because the time they will spend on the road is much more and they would rather wait until closing hours.

The city residents have come up with different ways in which they can deal the stress that is brought about by the traffic jam.  To get to know how different people are dealing with this stress please follow the link given.
