It is evident that criminals try all
angles to lure their prey. They are very
much willing to go to any extent in order to be able to get what you have
worked so hard for. There have been
several incidences and some motorists have been victims to this. Those who are
lucky enough to escape the trap and tricks that criminals use to carjack and rob might have found someone to warn them before
they could think of stopping to help.
It is just human to see someone
in need and volunteer to help. But in
some cases other criminals will use different tactics to take advantage of your generosity. People get robbed or hijacked in broad
daylight and one is left helpless not knowing what to do and this is the height of crime in Nairobi/Kenya.
You will find them on some of the
routes that are most likely not frequented with many matatus. In most cases there will be a distressed man
holding a little wrapped baby and besides him there could lay someone who seems
unconscious and in some cases there could also be a boda boda (motorcycle) guy
just across the road.
These people will pretend and
when they spot a motorist they try stopping him/her seeking for help, once you stop
to assist them they just turn on you and you end up becoming their victim.
This is quite disturbing because
it most likely denies genuine people help because it is hard to identify who is
genuinely seeking for help and the other way round.
Some of the routes that are
frequented by these criminals include; along Forest road, Museum Hill road,
State house road etc.
I believe this information will
be able to help those of us who are not aware of this and you will be able to
arrive safe at your intended destination. Get to know how criminals operate and identify the most dangerous routes in Nairobi.
Beware and arrive
safe!!!!
