HOLIDAY DESTINATIONS IN NAIROBI - Part II

I know you can’t get enough of this, as Nairobi is known to have many events for different outings and vacations, it is a holiday destination in Kenya as it has so many things to do and awesome tourist attractions. So please spare some time and try to visit some of these sites and you would not regret it at all.  Below are more of Nairobi's top tourist attractions that you can visit.

Giraffe Centre

Attractions
Giraffe Centre has awesome attractions, rare view of Rothschild giraffe at close quarters where you can hand-feed these elegant giants from the safety of a raised wooden platform. 

Locating Giraffe Centre
Giraffe Centre is located in Langata, for those visiting the site using public means; board Matatu No.24 at Railways Bus Terminus or at Kencom House bus terminus

Karen Blixen Museum

It is open to the public every day from 9.30a.m to 6p.m;

Tourist Attractions and Holiday Events
The museum shop offers handicrafts etc. The site can also be used for different functions.

Karura Forest
Karura is a safe haven for nature-lovers and one can take pleasure in the biking trails. It is a place worth visiting while in Nairobi. It is among the places worth visiting while in Nairobi, either during weekend breaks or vacations.

It has walking paths, waterfalls, a natural lake, caves and picnic spots.  

Locating Karura Forest
Karura Forest can be found along Limuru Road, for those who would like to visit the site using public means; board Matatu No.107A at Koja (Old Nation House) bus terminus

Mamba Village
It is an awesome attraction and among Nairobi's top tourist attractions.  Mamba Village is East Africa’s largest crocodile farm, its very exciting to watch them; more especially during meal times as they burst into a feeding frenzy.  The outdoor seating under canopied tables faces the picturesque lake and lush, botanical gardens.

Apart from the crocodile farm there are additional animal pens that hold Ostrich and reticulated giraffe and peacocks, while a host of aquatic birds swim and fish in the lake. Across the road from Mamba is the Jolly Roger Theme Park with its beautifully maintained compound.

At the site there are also several bouncing castles, water slides, a swimming pool and sandpits. Other activities include rock climbing, a fishing and face-painting.

Location of Mamba Village
Mamba Village is located along Langata Road. For those who would like to visit the site using public means; board Matatu No. 24 or 126 from Railways Bus Terminus

Nairobi Animal Orphanage
This is among the places to visit while in Nairobi.  You can decide to visit the animals at the Nairobi Animal Orphanage or stroll through the more expansive grounds of the Nairobi Safari Walk. 

Tourist Attractions and Holiday Events
The Activities include; watching a herd of elephant babies feed, play, mud-bathe and wrestle.  Other tourist attractions include animals like warthog, the blind rhino among others.

To visit the site using public means; Board Matatu No. 15 at Bus Station (BS) near Afya Centre

Visiting Hours
Although the orphanage is open daily, visiting hours are strictly from 11am to 12noon.
