NAIROBI'S CITY MARKET

Located at the hub of the city, it is the most convenient market to visit while in Nairobi.  This vast space is a jumble of color and activity, the traditional fabrics, flowers and crafts add to the beautiful view as you get to the market. For those who don't know where to shop while in Nairobi, there is more reason why Nairobi city market could be the ideal market.

Some of the Items Sold at City Market
The market has dozens of stalls open daily, selling vegetables, meat (red and white), flowers as well as crafts and curios.  The woodcarvings, drums, spears, shields, soapstone, maasai jewelry and clothing make the market so colorful and appealing to the customers.

Location of City Market
City Market is located along Muindi Mbingu Street in Nairobi City, it is a walking distance for those who do not drive.

Apart from meat, vegetables and flowers; the products that you find at Maasai market can also be found here in case you are not able to shop at Maasai market.

When to go for Shopping
The market is open from 8a.m. to 6pm daily; therefore you can do your shopping any day.

City Market is among the few markets in Kenya that bring out the culture and originality because most of the items sold there are locally made and sold by the actual people who make them.
