WHERE TO SHOP IN NAIROBI AT A BURGAINING PRICE - FRESH FOOD



Did you know you can get these things at a very cheap price here?

1.                  Cereals
Find them at Nyamakima where Molo Matatus are packed

2.                  Fruits
You can get apples and other fruits at Nyamakima at a very good price.

3.                  Fish and chicken kienyeji
Gikomba. When you get to Gikomba, ask for the place where fish is sold. It’s a whole building opposite where newborn clothes are sold. It’s on the right as you walk towards the market.
You can also buy fish from Alpha Foods, along Enterprise Road. They close by 4pm. The boda boda guys can direct you.
4.                  Meat
Buy meat from Burma market and Ndonyo market Dagoretti.

5.                  Vegetables
Buy vegetables at very cheap prices from Gikomba and Marikiti
for those who live in Eastlands – Go to Korogosho market early on Wednesday or Saturday mornings.

Gikomba is located outside the central business district along Digo Road in Majengo area in Nairobi. To get to Gikomba one can board matatu number 7 along Luthuli Avenue.

Wakulima market is located along Haile Selassie Avenue, just before the Landhies Road / Ring Road round about.  For people using private means, there is parking along the streets around Wakulima House, though this may not be the safest street to park due to car part thefts. The area is also a preferred parking for suppliers to the market.

Korogosho market is located at the Dandora, Kariobangi roundabout. Buy carrots, peas, potatoes and onions from the lorries; it is cheaper than inside the market.
